Welcome! Whether you are a life-long member of Trinity
Presbyterian Church or a regular visitor looking for more information, or
whether this is your first interaction with our church family, welcome to
our church family in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord!
As you look over this website you will
see that we are a dynamic church family offering weekly opportunities for
worship, Bible Study for young and old, fellowship, and service. We embrace
our faith with joy and take seriously God’s claim on us as his people
gathered together to serve Him and the community we live in. We are excited
at the marvelous things God is doing in our midst and encourage you to find
out for yourself by visiting us in worship and joining us for Wednesday
Night Live Bible Study. But be warned, our enthusiasm for God, our church,
and each other is contagious!
To describe us in theological jargon, we
are a relatively conservative evangelical congregation firmly rooted in the
Reformed and Presbyterian tradition. We believe in the authority of
scripture as God’s word to us for both faith and practice. We trust in the
Lordship of Jesus Christ as the unique revelation of God’s will for our
lives as children of God. In less theological lingo, we believe that God
has gathered us together to joyfully praise and worship him with everything
we are in mind, body, and spirit. Accordingly, our life together is
joyfully dedicated to enthusiastic worship in the Reformed style emphasizing
the sovereignty of God, to engaging in fun and regular fellowship with the
church family, and to reaching out to the community around us as we respond
to God’s claim on us as His children.
No church can be all things to all
people, but we are greatly blessed. We have a full program of education and
fellowship activities for children preschool through high school. For youth
in grades 6-12 we offer mid-week opportunities, Sunday mornings, and Sunday
nights. We offer Sunday School classes for preschoolers through Adult (There
are 3 different adult offerings to choose from). Throughout the year we
offer various fellowship activities and for all ages, from covered dish
meals to Christmas caroling. Additionally, our congregation is deeply
committed to serving others within our community through the support of the
North Greenville Food Crisis Center, Habitat For Humanity, and numerous
other mission efforts. Our Presbyterian Women’s organization is active and
vibrant. We have a Men’s Fellowship group that meets weekly for breakfast.
Our Chancel Choir and Hand Bell Choir welcome new singers and ringers. So,
we are not all things to all people, but we have much to offer! Is there a
place for you? I encourage you to come and find out!
If you would like to learn more about
us, please contact me directly by phone or through the e-mail link, or
better yet, join us for Sunday School at 9:30 am and worship at 10:30 am
next Sunday morning.
God Bless,
Reverend Marc V. Mason
