Children's Programs

Our children represent the future of Trinity.  The philosophy at Trinity is to get the children into the church to get the church into the children.  Every time that we baptize a precious baby, we vow to take a role in nurturing that child into the faith.  This is both a promise and a privilege that we do not take lightly.

Nursery: Three staff child–care workers and many volunteers share responsibilities for the Nursery each Sunday morning from 9:15 until the end of worship.  This allows parents to participate fully in our adult classes, and our worship service.  Child Care is also provided during most church activities and meetings.  Nursery ages are from infant to two years old.  Snacks are provided.  Trinity's babies are loved very much.

Sunday School: Offered each Sunday Morning at 9:30 for Children of pre-school age through fifth grade, youth, and adults. Grades are combined into classes as follows:

• Ages 2–3 -This class focuses on helping very young children learn what the Bible is, how to say a prayer, how to talk to God and Jesus, and how to be kind to others.  They use the ‘Wee Believe’ Curriculum which engages early pre-school children in age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Ages 4-5 –This class focuses on older pre-school aged children, building their cognitive skills as well as teaching them important stories of the faith. They use the ‘Wee Believe’ curriculum which focuses on learning more about God.
• 1st-2nd grades -This class focuses on helping children learn the fundamentals.  They use the ‘We Believe’ curriculum for younger elementary students which is produced by the PC(USA). This year, the students are learning about Worship, from the Israelites worshiping in the wilderness, to Jesus worshiping in the temple, to how we worship God today.
• 3rdh- 5th grades -  This class uses the ‘We Believe’ curriculum for older elementary students which has the same scope and sequence as the younger elementary curriculum, but starts to apply the fundamentals of our faith to the children’s own lives.
• Children's Church -provided for 3, 4 and 5 year olds during the worship hour.  This is a program led by volunteer parents rotating each week, and they use the 'Spark: Lectianary' curriculum which ties lessons to the readings in the worship service.

Wednesday Night Live: Every Wednesday evening during the school year from 6:30-7:30pm. Classes provided for pre-school, elementary, youth, and adults. All ages are using the 'Spark: Classroom' Curriculum. Register online to access family pages, and lessons.
